After helping our construction management client correct data entry errors in a very large excel spreadsheet for four weeks, our management consulting team suggested that our development team create a database solution that would eliminate the data entry errors and allow the client to use the application for a variety of reports – including the “poster sized” weekly detail report requirement from the clients customer. The .net and SQL based solution allowed for multiple entry points (AS/400, windows and internet based application file downloads) as well as manual entry for required information, then applied the appropriate business logic to estimate progress, cost allocation and savings, and provide projections for the client’s customer. While specifically designed for a unique situation, the solution offered enough reporting and flexibility that the client is now using the database solution on a variety of multi-phase, multi-facility projects saving hundreds of hours each month and improving reporting and management efficiency.
Our application development team created an on-line Accounts Payable processing system for a provider of professional legal services. The on-line system allowed the legal professionals who provided the service to enter their activities in a secure on-line application that tied to customer information in a different application for validation; and then track the request through processing and payment issuance. The application significantly reduced the time from payment request to payment and improved service to the legal providers by giving them on-line access to the payment request process 24/7. The client also increased efficiency as more than 80% of all payment requests are now submitted on-line, eliminating data entry, and with on-line status updates, calls to the accounts payable team regarding payment status have also been significantly reduced.
Our client needed assistance with the development of a .net based intranet application to assist their field engineering and sales staff to drive more business for the plastics manufacturer. Our team provided the development resources which allowed the client’s field team access to customer and prospect information they needed to drive more revenue and satisfy their customer’s pre-sales issues. In addition, the application integrated with the client’s back end ERP solution to provide the sales team with access to customer order, credit, and customer service information that allowed the sales team to help service the customers more efficiently and focus their time on enhancing the relationship with the customer.
